9-Year-Old Girl Dies in Tragic Accident in East Las Vegas Valley

East Las Vegas Valley, Nevada – A Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) bus was involved in a fatal accident on Thursday night, taking the life of a little girl. At around 9:35 p.m., the girl and a lady in her twenties were involved in an incident after attempting to cross East Charleston Boulevard near South Lamb Boulevard without using a crosswalk.

According to Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Mark Lourenco, the consequences of this ill-fated decision were devastating. The RTC bus struck both the young girl and the woman, inflicting severe injuries upon them.

Regrettably, the 9-year-old girl succumbed to her injuries at the scene, marking a heart-wrenching loss for her family and the entire community. In the aftermath of the accident, the woman was promptly transported to the University Medical Center to receive medical care for her injuries. As of now, the extent of her injuries remains unknown.
