According to authorities, one of the suspects opened fire on a family outside an east Las Vegas valley grocery shop Monday night.
Around 10:12 p.m., the incident was reported. According to Lt. David Gordon of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the incident occurred at the Smith’s location on Nellis Boulevard and Stewart Avenue.
According to Gordon, a youngster got into a dispute with two males inside the store, and during the exchange of words, one of the men drew a handgun from his belt.
When the teen’s mother observed what was going on, she ran to position herself between the guys and her son.
According to Gordon, the family left the business shortly after, and the two guys followed. One of the males opened fire on the family as they were loading goods into their car.
According to Gordon, no one in the family was hurt by gunfire, but their vehicle was shot many times.
The two men fled the area in a black coupe and are still on the loose.
According to Gordon, detectives are investigating and details are yet preliminary.
