A Pregnant Woman Who Was Struck by a Car Has Tragically Passed Away in the Hospital
LAS VEGAS – According to Metro Police, a pregnant woman in Las Vegas was killed last week when she was struck by a car while crossing the street.
At about 9:40 p.m. on Thursday, 22-year-old Nina Fauble was hit and killed by a car that drove away from the scene on Nellis Boulevard near Harmon Avenue.
The police reported that Fauble was transferred to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. When asked what happened to the baby or how far along the mother was in her pregnancy, police could not provide any details.
After some time, a woman came to the scene in the involved vehicle and told police that her boyfriend, Oscar Pena, 37, had been driving it during the collision.
They claimed they tracked down Pena and he was placed into the Clark County Detention Center on suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run.
Police confirmed Wednesday that they are still looking into the incident.
