LAS VEGAS – In a significant development, casino owner Steve Wynn has reached a settlement with the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) to pay $10 million in connection with sexual misconduct allegations. The NGCB had initially filed a complaint against Wynn in 2019, citing numerous reports from female employees who claimed they were subjected to unwanted sexual advances by him.

The allegations against Wynn came to light in 2018, prompting the NGCB to assert that he was unsuitable to be associated with any gaming enterprise or the gaming industry as a whole. The court filing on Wednesday confirms Wynn’s agreement to pay the substantial fine within three days of the settlement being accepted, without having to admit or deny the allegations.

As part of the settlement, Wynn has also agreed to refrain from any future involvement with gaming in the state of Nevada. This agreement marks a significant resolution to the long-standing case, providing closure to the parties involved and putting an end to the legal proceedings.
