Cooling Stations Open Across Las Vegas Valley During Heat Wave

Cooling stations have been set up all over Southern Nevada as a result of this week’s excessive heat watch, which is in effect from Tuesday through Sunday.

The National Weather Service forecasts that Las Vegas will reach 110 this week. Most of Southern Nevada will experience temperatures between 108 and 115 degrees.

According to a tweet from Clark County, residents should take caution when spending time outside.

Help Home Hope, the regional plan to end homelessness in Southern Nevada has asked those involved in homeless street outreach and first responders to share information about cooling services with those who may benefit. Cooling stations can be found throughout the Las Vegas Valley, Mesquite, and Laughlin.
