Las Vegas, NV – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) has apprehended 36-year-old Mark Michael Ford in connection with two separate shootings that resulted in the deaths of a man and a woman in the Las Vegas valley.
First Victim Found:
- On Sunday, around 12:15 AM, LVMPD responded to reports of gunfire in the 7000 block of North Hualapai Way near Elkhorn.
- Officers located a white male victim suffering from gunshot wounds in a parking lot. He was transported to UMC where he was pronounced deceased.
Second Victim and Connection Established:
- Through investigation, detectives identified Ford as the suspect in a separate shooting that occurred in the south valley on February 20th, resulting in the death of a woman.
- Investigators determined the two victims knew each other.
Arrest and Public Safety:
- Ford and the vehicle he was believed to be driving have been located, and police assure there is no longer a threat to the community.
Further Information:
- The identity of the victims, as well as the cause and manner of death in both cases, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
