LAS VEGAS, Nev. (702 Times, NV Globe) – Following the repeated kidnapping and “brutally assault” of an elderly woman, the Nye County Sheriff’s Office is appealing for help from the general public.
The NCSO was alerted of a purported kidnapping and attempted murder on November 22 and immediately launched an investigation.
According to authorities, an elderly woman was asleep at her home in the 1000 block of Enchanted Mesa on Nov. 21 at 10:30 p.m. when she was startled by an unknown man attacking her.
According to the NCSO, the individual is Ryan Sanders, 37, of Pahrump.
The woman was subjected to “multiple savage attacks” by the man who also burglarized her home, according to the NCSO.
According to authorities, the woman was then put into the rear of her white 2018 Honda Civic with Nevada license plate 979T75 and taken to the Desert View Hospital location.
The suspected path taken to the hospital was Enchanted Mesa to Jack Rabbit to Mt Charleston to Red Butte to Hwy 372 to Lola, terminating in the parking lot of Desert View Hospital, according to NCSO.
A second individual entered the car at Desert View Hospital, which authorities suspect is Richard Duncan, 31, of Pahrump. According to authorities, the car then exited the hospital and traveled west on Wilson Road from Lola.
Prior to daylight on Nov. 22, the victim was driven along an unknown route to an empty property containing an abandoned RV in the 3000 block of Mailbou Avenue.
According to investigators, the man was viciously beaten again, lost his ability to speak, and was left for dead. She awoke hours later and escaped to a neighboring house, prompting NCSO to contact her.
The victim’s second car, a grayish-blue 2008 Chrysler 300 with Nevada license plate 710VMC, was taken at some time after she was removed from her residence, according to police.
On November 24, at 2 a.m. In Pahrump, the victim’s Honda Civic was discovered at Elderberry and Leslie streets. According to authorities, the car arrived between Nov. 23 and 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 23. and November 24th at 2 a.m.
According to NCSO, the Chrysler 300 was retrieved on Saturday.
According to authorities, Duncan was arrested on Saturday after evidence linking him to the crime was discovered.
The NCSO is presently looking for Sanders for his role.
