LAS VEGAS – Over 200 active firefighters, police, EMTs, and military professionals climbed to the top of The Strat Hotel’s 1,149-foot tower in remembrance of the victims of September 11, 2001.
Each climber was decked out with protective gear and sporting a lanyard bearing the image of a fallen fireman, a symbol of the heroes who were lost that day.
Participants, relatives, and friends were encouraged to raise a glass at a local pub following the climb in honor of the fallen who were 21 years ago today.
