Florida Police Footage Shows the Arrest of Ex-raider Damon Arnette

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (702 Times, NV Globe) – Damon Arnette, a former Las Vegas Raider, was arrested in Florida in July, according to police footage.

The footage, which was released on Wednesday by TMZ Sports, shows cops handcuffing Arnette during a traffic stop.

“You’re a f***** idiot, bro,” one of the officers says to him. “You had the chance. You had the chance to go home. You f**** it up.”

According to TMZ Sports, police had pulled him over hours earlier and discovered his license was revoked, but they let him go as long as he didn’t drive until he got his license reinstated.

Arnette was charged with felony cocaine possession and misdemeanor knowingly driving with a suspended license.

It’s the latest in a string of legal and personal issues for Arnette, a first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. The Raiders fired him last year after a video surfaced showing him holding a pistol and threatening someone.

In January of this year, he was detained in Las Vegas for reportedly displaying a pistol during an argument with valet staff at a Strip casino. The matter was withdrawn since no criminal charges were brought.

Arnette is also being sued for allegedly fleeing the scene of a car accident at the Raiders’ practice facility in Henderson in 2020. That case is still open.
