LAS VEGAS, Nev. (702 Times, NV Globe) – Dock-based fuel won’t be available until the end of March due to a remodeling project at Katherine Landing on Lake Mohave.
Land-based gasoline will be accessible at Katherine Landing beginning this weekend; dock-based fuel won’t be until March 31.
According to National Park Services, the renovation would enhance visitors’ experiences by replacing a system that was put in place in the early 1970s. The new system will complement Katherine Landing services by providing tourists and their boats with 47 extra transient moorage berths and secure fuel delivery.
“We are really excited about this project,” Julie Drugatz, Chief of Commercial Services for Lake Mead National Recreation Area said. “This partnership continues to enhance the experience of the over 1 million visitors annually to Katherine Landing.”
Next week, Marina One, which contains docks Q, R, S, T, or U, will have a power outage as a result of the procedure, making the pump-out facilities at the fuel dock inoperable.
It is suggested that people arrange to have their boat pumps ready before then. During this period, Cottonwood Cove’s facilities will be accessible.
