Governor Joe Lombardo formally launched his campaign for re-election Monday night, speaking at Rancho High School in North Las Vegas, where he also held his first gubernatorial announcement in 2022.
At the kickoff, Lombardo highlighted accomplishments from his first term, including expanded education funding, teacher pay raises, and accountability measures in schools. He emphasized his role in opposing bills he considered problematic, noting a record number of vetoes, and called for Republican legislative gains to help pass what he described as “commonsense reforms.”
Lombardo also outlined initiatives he hopes to advance in a second term, such as workforce training and workforce growth. He urged voters to support his re-election so that the state can continue on what he referred to as the progress begun during his first term.
