Las Vegas police are asking for the public’s help in locating 34-year-old Asia Alvarado, who has been reported missing. She was last seen early Sunday, August 10, around 12:30 a.m., near the 970 block of East Sahara Avenue, close to Maryland Parkway.
Authorities say she was wearing a white shirt with red and blue on the front, cut-off jean shorts, a pink bandana, and a pink lanyard.
While police are urging anyone with information to come forward, cases like this are yet another reminder that personal safety should never be taken for granted. In today’s climate, when law enforcement resources are stretched thin and crime is on the rise in too many American cities, individuals must take proactive measures to protect themselves and their loved ones. Public safety depends not only on effective policing but also on a community willing to stay alert, report suspicious activity, and look out for one another.
Anyone with information on Alvarado’s whereabouts should contact the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department at (702) 828-3111, the Missing Persons Detail at (702) 828-2907, or email missingpersons@lvmpd.com.
