LAS VEGAS – The Henderson Little League All-Stars have returned home triumphantly after an impressive performance at the Little League World Series in Pennsylvania. Their arrival at Harry Reid International Airport was met with heartfelt cheers from families and supporters who gathered around midnight to celebrate their remarkable journey.
Coach Ryan Gifford expressed his immense pride in the team’s accomplishments and their representation of Henderson on a national stage. He mentioned that the team’s formation began in May, and their journey to the Little League World Series was the culmination of years of dedication and hard work.
“We identified this group of kids as being a pretty special crew several years ago. So we’ve been working on things to accomplish their goals and to arrive in Williamsport was a huge accomplishment, well deserved, and a great experience for them,” Coach Gifford shared.
Nolan Gifford, one of the players and also the coach’s son, shared an exciting encounter with big-league superstar Bryce Harper. Harper took time to interact with the team members and offered some encouraging words to young Nolan, saying, “You pitch good … keep striking kids out.”
The tremendous achievement of the Henderson Little League All-Stars has not only made the city proud but also brought a sense of unity and celebration. Henderson Councilwoman Carrie Cox announced plans for a special event to honor the team’s achievements. Details regarding the celebration will be unveiled soon, providing an opportunity for the community to join in recognizing these young athletes’ incredible journey.
