Henderson Police Say One Officer Was Hurt, and the Perpetrator Was Killed Monday Morning
LAS VEGAS – After a gunshot on Monday morning, the Henderson Police Department is now conducting an investigation.
Police say that at 6:50 a.m., they were called to the 10000 block of South Eastern Avenue on a report of a suspicious person with a gun.
Authorities say the subject was uncooperative and ran away, leading to a foot chase.
According to HPD, police opened fire after the subject fired his weapon.
Police said that the suspect was hit and subsequently transferred to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his wounds.
One police officer was injured during the altercation and taken to a nearby hospital; his condition is listed as “stable,” according to police.
Residents are being warned to stay away from the area as police continue their investigation.
