Hockey Fan Brutally Attacked After Stanley Cup Playoff Game, Community Rallies to Find Assailant

A hockey fan is recovering from serious injuries after a shocking, unprovoked assault following Game 2 of the playoff series between the Dallas Stars and Vegas Golden Knights. Jason Bowen, a Golden Knights fan who traveled from San Antonio, has shared his story and graphic photos of his injuries, sparking outrage and a search for the perpetrator.

Bowen’s statement describes being blindsided with a “haymaker” punch while looking for an Uber near the American Airlines Arena. He suffered multiple facial fractures, blurred vision, jaw misalignment, and will require extensive surgery.

Despite this horrific experience, Bowen emphasizes the kindness of most Stars fans he encountered. “I know the real true fans of the Stars will call this guy out and not welcome him as a Stars fan,” his statement reads.

His plea underscores a troubling trend of violence at sporting events. In response, the hockey community is rallying behind Bowen, with fans sharing his story in hopes of identifying the attacker.

Community Condemns Violence

Fans have expressed disgust at the senseless attack, emphasizing that such behavior has no place in hockey. Bowen’s decision to maintain a positive attitude despite his ordeal is also being widely praised.
