A violent armed robbery in Las Vegas ended in murder, and one of the teenage suspects had the audacity to brag about it on social media.
18-year-old Donta Allen is now behind bars, facing open murder, attempted murder, and robbery charges after authorities say he gunned down a woman during a botched gun sale—and then took videos flaunting the stolen cash.
The Setup & Execution:
Allen and 19-year-old Alexandria Burks (still at large) allegedly planned to rob a couple who were selling a gun. The meeting took place on December 8 near Pecos Road and Cheyenne Avenue.
Witnesses say a young woman and another individual approached the victims’ vehicle and demanded money before opening fire. The couple tried to escape, but 23-year-old Nadia Dickerson was fatally shot at the scene, while her partner, Jermonte Dickerson, survived.
The Social Media Mockery:
After executing the robbery and murder, Allen reportedly sent a video of himself and another suspect holding wads of stolen cash, imitating machine gun sounds, and making gun gestures at the camera.
Authorities later uncovered messages between Allen and Burks where they explicitly planned the robbery and even discussed a separate armed robbery—one in which Allen was told not to participate because he ‘just wants to shoot’.
The Arrest & Investigation:
• Allen was arrested on Jan. 27.
•When questioned, he admitted to being involved in the robbery but refused to say who fired the deadly shots.
• Burks is still on the run with an active warrant.
The Bigger Picture:
This horrifying case isn’t just about a senseless murder—it’s about a growing culture of criminality where criminals flaunt their crimes like trophies on social media. What happened to personal responsibility? What happened to consequences?
Is lawlessness becoming normalized? What should be done to curb this culture of violence? Comment below.
