Light Fixture Sparks Fire at Las Vegas Apartment Complex, Displacing 18 Individuals

LAS VEGAS – On Friday night, a fire broke out at an apartment complex in Las Vegas, causing 18 people and 2 dogs to be displaced.

The Clark County Fire Department was alerted to the fire at around 9:29 p.m. The report suggested that a light fixture on the second floor of the complex was the cause of the fire.

The fire was brought under control by the firefighters from Clark County, Las Vegas Fire & Rescue, and North Las Vegas Fire Department within 20 minutes of the first call.

Although CCFD initially called for a second alarm for additional resources, it was canceled because of the quick response of the crews.

The cause of the fire and the extent of damage are still under investigation.

The American Red Cross provided shelter to eight adults, ten children, and two dogs affected by the fire. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
