LAS VEGAS, Nev. (NV, Globe) – According to a police arrest report, a man is accused of stabbing another man at a convenience store in Las Vegas after being ordered not to speak to the victim’s girlfriend.
Alejandro Roman, 29, is accused of attempting to murder with a lethal weapon.
Just before 8 p.m., police responded to a report of a man being stabbed at a shop near Nellis Boulevard and Tropicana Avenue. Thursday, September 8.
According to police, Jamel Ellison, the victim was found with several stab wounds when they arrived.
Ellison’s girlfriend told authorities that she and Ellison were in a convenience shop when a man described as Roman strolled in shirtless, approached her, and asked if she knew anybody. According to the complaint, when Ellison urged Roman to stop talking to his girlfriend, Roman began stabbing him.
Roman fled the business after the incident and was last seen strolling through the parking lot.
Ellison was transported to a neighboring hospital and treated for a perforated colon as well as knife wounds to his shoulder, armpit, chest, upper back, forearm, and underneath of his chin. He’s expected to live.
According to the report, Roman informed police in an interview that he was hunting for someone who had stolen from him when he entered the business.
According to the article, he stated that he needed to “put an end to the menace” that Ellison presented.
Roman had previously been detained in July and was wanted on a fugitive warrant out of California, according to police.
On Tuesday, he was being detained at the Clark County Detention Center on $100,000 bail.
