Las Vegas police have arrested 35-year-old Jason Kendall in connection with the death of a woman who was initially found unresponsive in a hotel room on June 12th.
Unresponsive Woman Found in Hotel
According to a press release issued by Las Vegas police on Saturday, officers responded to Spring Valley Hospital at approximately 6:10 pm on June 12th after the woman was brought in with possible battery injuries.
Authorities determined the woman had been found unresponsive in a hotel room located on the 4300 block of West Flamingo Road. While the specific hotel wasn’t named, the Palms is located at that address.
Critical Condition and Tragic Outcome
The woman remained in critical condition until June 21st, when she sadly succumbed to her injuries.
Metro Takes Over Investigation – Suspect Identified
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) homicide detectives assumed control of the investigation and identified Kendall as the suspect responsible for the woman’s death.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office will be releasing the identity of the deceased woman at a later date.
Kendall Faces Multiple Charges
Court records reveal that Kendall is facing charges of open murder, sexual assault, and battery by strangulation with the intent to commit sexual assault.
Kendall’s initial court appearance took place on Saturday, and he is currently being held at the Clark County Detention Center. He is scheduled for another court hearing on Tuesday.
This case serves as a stark reminder of the importance of reporting suspected domestic violence incidents.
