LAS VEGAS, Nev. (702 Times, NV Globe)- A man who had previously been charged with domestic violence is now suspected of trying to fight and stabbing his stepson when it was discovered that he had attacked his mother.
Charges of first-degree abduction and attempted murder with a dangerous weapon are brought against 45-year-old Kory Graham.
Complaint says, a lady contacted police on October 31 at approximately 3 p.m. and claimed that Graham and her brother were going to “settle beef” at a house near Hacienda Avenue and Maryland Parkway.
The lady said that the two were preparing to fight because the brother had just learned that Graham had assaulted his mother.
The brother told, he arrived home from school at 3:30 p.m. when he and Graham decided to spar while wearing boxing gloves, according to the article. The brother’s birthdate was hidden, however based on his birth year, he is either 18 or 19.
Graham initially indicated he wanted to fight outside the house, but when the sibling said he wanted to fight inside, Graham reportedly started cursing him and pushing him.
Before Graham stopped the front door and brought out a knife to stab the sibling in the chest and temple, the brother tried to flee. The report said that Graham warned him that “he may bleed out.”
Graham received a punch, but the victim was able to get away. According to the report, he was stabbed between seven and nine times.
Police then discovered that Graham had been engaged in “many” instances of domestic violence in the past, the most recent of which was when he stabbed his wife in April. He was accused of attempted murder and domestic assault in connection with the event, but the case was dropped.
Graham steadfastly declined to discuss the event with police.
He was taken into custody and jailed on $250,000 bond at the Clark County Detention Center as of Wednesday.
