The Nevada SPCA is calling on the public for help in identifying an individual who abandoned a 4-month-old kitten in a perilous situation in their parking lot. The kitten was left under a car on Dec. 17, putting it at risk of being crushed had the car driven off unnoticed.

Executive Director Lori Heeren emphasized the dangers of such irresponsible actions, noting that while animal abandonment is unfortunately common, this incident was particularly alarming. Fortunately, a staff member discovered the kitten in time.

Surveillance footage revealed the person was driving a black 4-door Mercedes Benz sedan. The kitten was found to be healthy and was adopted by a loving family the following day.

The Nevada SPCA reminds residents that abandoning animals in public or private spaces without proper care is illegal in Clark County. Surrendering pets must be done through a scheduled appointment to ensure their safety and well-being.
