LAS VEGAS – According to the North Las Vegas Police Department, a man was arrested after being accused of committing a fatal stabbing outside a retail center on Tuesday.
Tuesday about 11:45 a.m., North Las Vegas police got a report of a brawl at a business in the 5500 block of Simmons Street. According to the police, the fight was between two individuals.
On Tuesday, arriving officers reported discovering a male who was bleeding and suffering from “unknown injuries.” The NLVPD later reported that the victim had sustained multiple apparent stab wounds.
The victim, who was believed to be a man in his early 30s, was transferred to UMC Trauma, where he eventually passed away.
Police on Wednesday identified Yaroslan Granda Ruedas, 39, as the culprit in the incident.
Granda Ruedas was reportedly booked into the North Las Vegas Community Correctional Center on the accusation of first-degree murder.
The Clark County Coroner’s office will disclose the victim’s identification, as well as the reason and manner of death.
