LAS VEGAS – Police in North Las Vegas are looking into a shooting that hurt a teen near Cheyenne High School.
North Las Vegas police say they got a call about a shooting in the 3000 block of Logan Avenue near Simmons Street and Gowan Road at 5:55 p.m. on Saturday.
When police arrived, they found a young boy, who was thought to be in his late teens, with what looked like a gunshot wound. Police said that the teen was taken to University Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Police say that a young male suspect shot the victim and drove away in a stolen car before they got there.
The suspect was later arrested, and the car that had been stolen was found.
The suspect was taken to the Clark County Juvenile Detention Center and arrested on charges of attempted murder, possession of a stolen vehicle, and other charges that are still pending.
