LAS VEGAS, Nev. (702 Times, NV Globe) – According to officials, the suspect in the shooting death of a tow business employee on Tuesday has been detained and charged with murder.
Jaton Herder, 27, was detained following a multi-jurisdictional task force search, according to a statement released on Wednesday by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Herder was at a towing firm in the 100 block of West Wyoming Avenue on Tuesday at roughly 10:59 a.m., according to the police. He was unhappy that his car was being towed, according to the police.
According to authorities, Harder pulled out a gun during the exchange and shot the employee several times. The victim was taken to University Medical Center, where he eventually passed away, police stated during a press conference on Tuesday in the late afternoon.
Identification of the victim, cause and manner of death will be made public by the coroner’s office in Clark County.
According to documents, Herder is being detained without bond at the Clark County Detention Center. There is no set date for his next court appearance.
