LAS VEGAS- According to sources, two suspects robbed a business in Henderson before abandoning their car near the Aliante Casino on the other side of the Las Vegas valley.
According to Henderson police, the two guys committed an armed robbery in the 2500 block of Anthem Village Drive at 3:30 p.m.
According to police, Henderson police initiated a pursuit, which was subsequently taken up by the Las Vegas Metro police helicopter. Due to the high speeds, it is customary for the helicopter to follow criminals in a chase rather than authorities on the ground.
According to sources, police were observed combing the area along the 215 Beltway and Aliante, but the suspects did not appear to be in the casino proper.
According to authorities, the car involved was later found.
North Las Vegas police, SWAT, and K-9 officers searched the area and discovered a suspect after checking manhole covers along a wash. He ran authorities for a short distance before being apprehended.
