Santa Train in Boulder City
LAS VEGAS – In Boulder City, you can ride a Christmas-themed train to Santa’s workshop this season.
An announcement says the Boulder City Santa Express will be held again by the Friends of the Nevada Southern Railway this year.
According to the event’s organizers, the whole duration of the experience is 90 minutes, consisting of a 40-minute train travel, 45 minutes spent in Santa’s rail yard, and a 10-minute return trip.
Beginning on Friday, November 25th, the Boulder City Santa Express will begin its holiday schedule of running every Friday and Saturday through December 23rd. They’ll provide transportation on Tuesday, December 20th, and Wednesday, December 21st, as well.
The announcement states that the training boarding periods are at 4, 6, and 8 p.m. For the month of December, however, passengers can only board the train on Fridays at 6 and 8 p.m.
Those interested in attending should know that all seats are reserved and must be purchased in advance.
All passengers will get free cookies, hot chocolate, and pictures with Santa, according to the press release.
Friends of the Nevada Southern Railway recommend dressing for the temperature, but pajamas and Christmas sweaters are a “traditional choice”
The Nevada State Railroad Museum, located at 601 Yucca Street in Boulder City, is the train’s departure point.
