Irving Malagon, 31, has been apprehended by law enforcement after allegedly attempting to lure a child into engaging in a sex act on Thursday. The arrest was made on Friday, as confirmed by a Metropolitan Police Department news release.
The incident transpired around 2:38 p.m. on Thursday, when an 11-year-old child was approached by a white male adult driving a black two-door sedan in the 7200 block of Cottonsparrow Street, near North Buffalo Drive and West Elkhorn Road in the far northwest valley.
According to police reports, the male suspect tried to entice the juvenile into his vehicle while engaging in inappropriate behavior. The child managed to escape unharmed and sought refuge at a nearby relative’s residence.
Irving Malagon has been booked into the Clark County Detention Center on charges of luring a child to engage in a sex act and open and gross lewdness.
