Suspect Identified in Fatal Shooting Case, Las Vegas Police Issue Warning

LAS VEGAS – Las Vegas police have identified the suspect in a tragic incident that occurred early Saturday morning. The suspect has been named as 23-year-old Israel Zamora, and authorities are advising the public that he is considered armed and dangerous. Additionally, it is important to note that Zamora is hearing impaired and relies on sign language or a cell phone app for communication.

The incident unfolded when officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 3900 block of North Nellis Boulevard at approximately 1:14 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered a woman near her apartment with an apparent gunshot wound. Tragically, medical personnel pronounced her deceased at the scene.

Through their investigation, detectives have determined that the victim was shot by her boyfriend, who fled the scene before the officers arrived. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is actively investigating the case, and further information regarding the victim’s identity, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s office.
