The driver of a hit-and-run collision that critically injured a pedestrian in the west Las Vegas valley on Monday night is being sought by authorities.
Just after 10 p.m., according to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, the collision was reported. West of Candlelight Street on Cobblestone Avenue, close to Rainbow Boulevard and Westcliff Drive.
According to a press statement from the LVMPD, police discovered that a light-colored SUV was traveling east on Cobblestone when it struck a person who was not using a designated crossing.
The SUV fled the site of the collision without rendering aid, and the pedestrian was transported to UMC with critical injuries.
According to the police, the left-front part of the suspect SUV would have sustained significant damage.
