LAS VEGAS – The Artisan Hotel Boutique on Sahara and I-15 is being relaunched as a cannabis-friendly hotel. The Lexi Hotel will be its name.

“Hopefully, we can resurrect the artisan,” said Alex Rizk, CEO of Elevation Hotels and Resorts.

It’s in with the new, out with the old, while also paying homage to the hotel’s lengthy history in Las Vegas.

According to Rizk, the company is still determining what the future holds for the soon-to-be former Artisan Hotel Boutique. When it opens on April 1, it will be known as The Lexi.

Rizk hopes that the 64 rooms at the property will eventually be a mix of cannabis-inclusive and cannabis-free. They also intend to include a marijuana lounge.

“One of our goals is to de-stigmatize cannabis use in appropriate settings. As a result, we are and will abide by local regulations. Despite the fact that certain of our hotels will have greater flexibility depending on their location, “Rizk stated.

Elevation Hotels and Resorts has not submitted an application to the Nevada Canabis Compliance Board. As a result, their cannabis plans remain a pipe dream for the time being. But Rizk claims they’re working on the legalities.

“We’re still working on a few things. But making it happen will be a top priority for us.”

The newly rebranded resort will also include an exclusive members-only bar, chapel, and event center, to mention a few amenities.

While they did not initially apply for a marijuana lounge license, they expect to be considered for one in the future so that they can expand.

The renovations began in August of last year. The rebranded Lexi Hotel is set to open on April 1st.
