LAS VEGAS – A tragic incident occurred on Friday night in the southwest Las Vegas Valley, as a 19-year-old motorcyclist lost his life in a crash with a vehicle.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Miguel Ibarra, the collision took place at around 9:35 p.m. at the intersection of West Badura Avenue and South Buffalo Drive. The motorcyclist was reportedly traveling southbound on Buffalo at a high speed when it crashed into a 2023 Toyota Camry. The vehicle was turning left onto Badura at the time of the accident.
Tragically, the motorcyclist did not survive the impact and was pronounced dead at the scene. The three occupants of the Toyota suffered minor injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment. They were later discharged, according to the police.
This collision marks the 38th traffic-related fatality in the jurisdiction of the police department this year. The collision investigation section of the department is currently handling the probe into the crash.
