LAS VEGAS, Nev. (702 Times, NV Globe)– Two men have been charged for murder after fatally beating a man outside a Henderson shop on Friday night, according to police.
Floyd Epps, 69 years old, and Stephon Epps, 32 years old, are now at the Henderson Detention Center after being seized on the allegations on Saturday.
As reported by the Henderson Police Department, a man was beaten twice by three individuals near the 1400 block of North Boulder Highway on Friday, firstly at 10:20 p.m. and then beaten again after an hour.
The guy, 62, suffered minor injuries after the initial attack, and police filed a report.
When police returned an hour later after receiving a complaint of the same man being attacked, they discovered him bleeding and laying near the door outside of the same shop. According to authorities, the man was transferred to a nearby hospital and died.
Henderson investigators identified and arrested two of the individuals accused of assaulting the guy, Stephon Epps and Floyd Epps. Both are facing one charge of first-degree murder.
The allegation implies that a conviction might be issued on any of the state’s murder categories.
Police have not stated if the two people arrested are family or provided any information about the third guy involved in the beatings. They also did not specify whether the victim was beaten by the same three individuals each time.
The investigation is ongoing, according to police, and no additional information will be disclosed.
