Las Vegas, NV – A Valley High School employee has been arrested and is facing charges related to allegations of inappropriate contact with a juvenile, according to an email sent to the school community by Principal Kimberly Perry-Carter on Tuesday.
The employee, whose name has not been disclosed, has been placed on administrative leave and is barred from returning to campus while the investigation is ongoing.
Principal Perry-Carter assured families in her email that the school remains committed to maintaining a safe and focused learning environment. “We are committed to providing quality instruction, ensuring that our students continue to receive an excellent education in a safe environment, and minimizing any disruption in our learning environment,” she stated.
The Metropolitan Police Department is leading the investigation. However, they have not yet released additional details or confirmed the identity of the employee involved.
This arrest has raised concerns among parents and the community about safety and transparency within the school district. Officials have reiterated their commitment to ensuring student well-being and cooperating fully with law enforcement.
