According to police, a lady is suspected of repeatedly “angrily” hitting her car during an argument while a 2-year-old toddler was unsupervised inside the car.
Solentino Reyno, 27, is accused of child abuse or neglect as well as attempting to tamper with a car.
Officers responded to a report at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 18. An arrest was made at a property near Lake Mead Boulevard and Christy Lane after someone reported two car collision, according to an arrest report.
The victim informed authorities that he got into an altercation with Reyno, their kid’s mother, about child support. According to the report, he said that both of them were arguing while sitting inside their cars, fighting through the windows.
He informed police that the argument turned violent before he walked to the home of a family member and started calling police. While he did this, Reyno “angrily rammed” her car into the front of his car, pulled behind it, and “reversed fast” into it again, the report said.
The victim stated that their 2-year-old child was in Reyno’s car when they were arguing and Reyno was slamming into his car.
A witness who lives nearby informed police that she witnessed Reyno’s car crash into the victim’s car and that the youngster was not confined inside. According to the report, the witness also stated that the youngster was “moving about in the front passenger seat.”
According to the report, Reyno drove away following the encounter. The victim then informed authorities that repairing the car would cost around $3,000 dollars.
When investigators approached Reyno at her home near the location of the incident, she claimed them she was never there on Oct. 18 and that she and the victim had argued the night before when he threw a rock at her windshield. According to the report, she stated that this drove her to back up and “intentionally” collide with his vehicle.
According to the complaint, she informed authorities that the youngster was in her car when this happened.
Reyno was taken into custody at the Clark County Detention Center on Thursday. On Oct. 24, she is expected to appear in court for a status check.
