NEVADA – A man was detained in Reno on suspicion of involvement in a murder that took place almost 50 years ago in Hawaii.
A roommate in a Waikiki condo found the death of their female housemate on January 1. After the Hawaii Police Department investigated, no viable leads were initially identified.
But in September of 2022, a man’s DNA was compared to known criminal databases, and a suspect was discovered as an adult. On September 12th, a no-bail arrest warrant was issued.
