A Woman Was Killed and Two Children Were Injured When Their Vehicle Crashed Into a Boulder Near South Lake Tahoe
NEVADA – On Monday morning, a woman was killed when the automobile she was driving hit a boulder on State Route 89 near Picketts Junction.
The unnamed woman was reportedly traveling south on SR 88 in a 2019 Hyundai Elantra when she went off the road and collided with a boulder, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The driver passed away at the scene, and two young passengers were transported to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno with serious injuries.
The mother and her two young children, ages seven and nine, are locals of Fair Oaks, California.
