A Nevada actor has been arrested in connection with the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol riot, as revealed in newly released court documents.
Nolan Freeman was apprehended on March 19 in Carson City, according to FBI records filed in the District of Columbia. The arrest follows a credible tip received by the FBI in December 2022, indicating Freeman’s presence at the Capitol during the tumultuous events of Jan. 6, when supporters of then-President Donald Trump breached the Capitol building.
According to a criminal complaint, the FBI traced Freeman’s cell phone to the Capitol multiple times on the day of the riot. Additionally, investigators identified Freeman in several videos captured during the attack, showing him inside the Capitol and entering through a window.
At the time of the Capitol breach, Freeman was employed at a heating company in Carson City. However, he was also recognized as an actor, with appearances in popular television shows such as NCIS (2019), The Rookie (2018), and Devil’s Night (2017).
The complaint further reveals that Freeman was approached for an interview in June 2023. During the interaction, Freeman confirmed his phone number to investigators. However, when questioned about his activities on Jan. 6, Freeman reportedly invoked his right to legal counsel.
The arrest of Nolan Freeman underscores ongoing efforts by law enforcement to hold individuals accountable for their roles in the Capitol riot. As the investigation continues, further developments may shed light on the extent of Freeman’s involvement and its implications.
