NEVADA – On Saturday, April 22, several locations across northern Nevada will host their annual prescription drug round up. This event encourages people to bring any unneeded, unwanted or expired medications to any of the participating locations without any questions asked.
The event is being held at various locations in Washoe County, Carson City, Douglas County and Churchill County. In Washoe County, the participating locations are Smiths on 175 Lemmon Drive and 750 South Meadows Parkway, Raley’s on 1630 Robb Drive and 18144 Wedge Parkway, Elk’s Lodge on 597 Kumle Lane and 517 S. Rock Boulevard, Smiths on 1255 Baring Boulevard, RSIC Smoke Shop on 7655 Pyramid Highway, and Cold Springs Community Center on 3355 White Lake Parkway.
In Carson City, the participating locations are Save Mart on 3620 N. Carson Street and 4348 S. Carson Street, Smiths on 559 E. William Street, and FoodMaxx on 3325 Highway 50 East. In Douglas County, the participating locations are Safeway on 212 Elks Point Road and East Fork Fire Station #4 on 1476 Albite Road.
In Churchill County, the Walgreens on 2020 Reno Highway will be participating in the event.
This event is aimed at ensuring the safe disposal of prescription drugs and promoting public health.
