RENO, Nev. (775 Times, NV Globe) – Ioneer Rhyolite Ridge has received a trespassing warning from the Bureau of Land Management for using the Tiehm’s Buckwheat habitat without permission.
According to the BLM, the region served as a laydown location for geotechnical drilling activities related to the gathering of subsurface data.
The business was directed not to harm any places that have been classified as key habitat for the plant, which was recently awarded endangered species protections, as part of the decision to approve Ioneer’s application for the drilling activities.
During a visit on January 13, BLM uncovered an unlawful water bladder and the remains of a laydown yard, which verified the land’s improper usage.
The trespass notice will need a response from Ioneer within 14 days. They must delay further reclamation of the land until the USFWS and BLM can be present, according to BLM instructions.
