Carson City Sheriff’s Office Investigating Potential Sex Trafficking Ring; Multiple Detained

Carson City, NV – The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is investigating a potential sex trafficking operation suspected to have moved from California to Nevada. Multiple individuals are being questioned but no arrests have been made so far.

Details of the Investigation:

  • On February 10th, authorities received a tip about a trafficking operation involving nine people, including possibly armed individuals.
  • In collaboration with the FBI’s Human Exploitation and Trafficking Task Force, search warrants were obtained for multiple rooms at a local motel.
  • Due to the potential danger, SWAT and Special Enforcement units assisted in executing the warrants on Saturday afternoon.
  • Four men and five women were taken into custody for questioning. No charges have been filed at this time.
  • Searches yielded potential evidence, including weapons and controlled substances.
  • Support services for victims of sexual assault were on hand during the operation.
