RENO, Nev. (775 Times, NV Globe) – This summer, the Rosewood Nature Study Area, originally the Rosewood Golf Course, will serve as the test site for an adaptive cycling center operated by the City of Reno’s Adaptive Recreation department.

Through this membership-based program, individuals with disabilities will be able to use one of the City’s numerous adapted bikes to access the route without the need for bike transport.

The city is attempting to establish the level of public interest in this kind of adaptive cycling program and the most effective operating hours. By January 10, members of the community are encouraged to provide input and complete a survey. Click here to take the survey.

Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation is presently restoring the 219-acre wetland ecosystem at the Rosewood Nature Study Area, which has around 2.5 miles of trails. It is an easy starting place for the Southeast Connector route and the Tahoe-Pyramid Bike path connections.
