The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying suspects in a number of vehicle break-ins and related credit card theft.
According to authorities, multiple automobiles were broken into in the Zephyr Cove area late on August 21. A handbag holding credit cards was taken at least once.
A stolen credit card was used at a local Safeway following the break-ins. The transaction’s video footage identified two prospective suspects in these crimes: a man and a woman.
The man has black hair and a short beard and looks to be Caucasian. He was observed wearing grey slacks or shorts, a black shirt with a horizontal red and grey stripe, and a shoulder bag draped over his right shoulder. On his right and left forearms, he has tattoos.
The woman seems Caucasian and has black, long hair. She is dressed in a black blouse, shorts, and white tennis shoes. She also has a little light-colored backpack on.
Anyone with information on the identity of the suspects is requested to call Investigator Brandon Williamson at (775)586-7253.
