NEVADA – On Saturday morning, crews from Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue and Storey County responded to a fuel trailer crash on I-80.
The accident occurred shortly after 9 a.m. on I-80 westbound, roughly a half mile before America Pkwy.
The incident involved only one vehicle, and the driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
According to authorities, 40 to 50 liters of petrol escaped from both tanks. Workers were successful in constructing a diversionary dam that prevented the flow into the Truckee River.
