SPARKS, Nev. (NV, Globe) – The Sparks Police Department (SPD) is looking into a deadly collision involving a charter bus and a pedestrian at the Nugget Casino on Thursday night.
Sparks police got a complaint of an accident at the intersection of 14th St. and Nugget Ave. at 5:29 p.m., where a bus had hit a person.
According to the SPD, the bus was empty at the time of the incident, and the driver was unharmed, but the pedestrian was pronounced dead.
The investigation is still ongoing and the bus driver is working with authorities.
The police department is requesting the public to avoid the area as they investigate the incident.
