Nye County Sheriff’s Office Has Closed off a Street in Southern Pahrump to Look for a Fugitive

Officers have closed the 10000 block of Oakridge Avenue to the public, according to a Facebook post. People are being asked to stay away from the area.
Sanders, 37, is accused of kidnapping, sexually abusing, and attempting to kill an elderly woman on Tuesday, Nov. 22. He is believed to be accompanied by his 13-year-old son.

According to the sheriff’s office, Sanders is related to a family member of the 74-year-old victim, and the attack may have been carried out in retaliation.
On Saturday, Nov. 26, Sanders’ accomplice, Richard Duncan, 31, was arrested in Pahrump for allegedly taking part in the attacks on the woman. According to NCSO, he is now being held without bond at the Nye County Detention Center and is cooperating with law enforcement.
A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of Sanders. According to the sheriff’s office, the public may be in danger until he is apprehended.
Suspect in Pahrump kidnapping, attempted murder case, and almost a dozen past run-ins with the law
Sanders has had almost a dozen confrontations with police dating back to 2019, including calls for child abuse, theft, burglary, and firearms violations.
