The Reno Police Department responded to the scene, reporting that the pedestrian was conscious, breathing, and alert at the time of transportation to the hospital. However, no further updates on the individual’s condition were immediately available.
The incident occurred around 7 p.m., leading to the temporary closure of Sutro Street to vehicular traffic for approximately one hour as authorities conducted their investigation and provided necessary assistance. The Reno Police Department has stated that Union Pacific is handling the ongoing investigation into the incident.
