Police Responded to a Shooting on South Virginia St Near Gentry Way
NEVADA – The Reno Police Department was called to the area of South Virginia Street and Gentry Way at 4:45 a.m. on October 23, 2022, in response to a gunshot.
The responding officers discovered a man victim who had been shot. There was no hope for the victim, and despite the best efforts of the responding medical personnel, they were pronounced dead at the scene.
Following their arrival, detectives from the robbery/homicide section assumed control of the case.
All people involved have remained at the scene and are providing helpful information to investigators. According to Reno police, no one was arrested because they believe the shooting was justified.
