Reno Man Sentenced to 20 Years in Prison for Drug Trafficking After Pleading Guilty
NEVADA – The Washoe County District Attorney’s Office said Thursday that a Reno man who pleaded guilty to drug trafficking in June would spend 20 years in prison.
Daryus Rashaun Howard, who is 33, will have to deal with the following:
One count of trafficking in a Schedule I or II controlled substance or a substance that contains a specific substance
Maximum of 20 years in prison, with parole eligibility starting after serving at least 8 years.
In February, detectives from the Regional Narcotics Unit caught Howard and put him in jail (RNU).
The RNU investigation found proof that Howard sold heroin and methamphetamine. In the next search, more than 355 grams of methamphetamine and more than 700 grams of heroin were found.
Deputy District Attorney Vieta-Kabell also said that Howard had been convicted of serious crimes in California before, which made the long prison sentence even fairer.
