Reno, NV – Lameda White, a 52-year-old woman from Reno, has been sentenced to 30 years in prison this week after being found guilty of drug-related charges. The Washoe County District Attorney’s Office confirmed that White will be eligible for parole after serving 11.5 years of her sentence.
White’s conviction stems from a drug trafficking case involving the possession and distribution of five pounds of methamphetamine. Prosecutors argued that she had built a career around cooking and selling the illegal substance.
In addition to Lameda White, her husband, Don White, was also implicated in the drug trafficking operation. Don White had previously pleaded guilty to trafficking charges and is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence. Similar to his wife, he will have the opportunity for parole after serving 8 years.
