NEVADA – The snowfall from yesterday’s storm is beautiful to look at, but it makes driving a little more challenging.
Many highways in and around Reno are still closed due to heavy snow that has accumulated on the roadways, as crews strive to clean them and make routes safer to travel on.
Lund Lane is closed between Wedekind Road and Northtowne Lane.
Mt. Rose Highway is now open, after being closed this morning, according to NDOT. However, chains are required.
I-80 is open and chain-free over Donner Pass, although traffic is moving slowly in that area, causing delays.
Due to the hazardous conditions, driving on restricted roads is not recommended for your safety. Due to the remaining snow on the ground, all roads should be driven with caution.
